Membership for All!

Joining is easy! Anyone over 18 can become a member-owner
by purchasing a one-time $100 membership share
which includes two additional adults in your household.
You may pay in full, through installments or through the Solidarity Fund.

Need assistance purchasing your membership share?

It is important to the Dorchester Food Co-op that people of all income levels are able to join. You are eligible for Solidarity Fund support if you find that you have difficulty affording the full $100 share. You determine your eligibility according to your own assessment of need with no additional questions asked.

Join by filling out the member-ownership form below.
Hit "SUBMIT AND MAKE PAYMENT" and choose one option:

  • Full payment
    I will pay $100

  • Installment Payment:
    I will make installment payments
    until $100 is paid over the course of one year

  • Solidarity Fund:
    I will pay ($25, $50, or $75) and request the
    Solidarity Fund to cover the remaining balance

  • Full payment plus contribution to the Solidarity Fund:
    I will make a full payment ($100) plus a contribution to the Solidarity Fund.

Supporting Local Economy

The co-op will re-circulate money back into our local economy by purchasing from local farmers and producers, supporting locally made products, creating better quality jobs– when you purchase an ownership share, you support these values.

Special Discounts

Once the store is open, members will have access to special discounts and bulk ordering. When the store is profitable, members will share in the profits at the end of the year.
